Here is the Pencil holder built with maple mentioned earlier.  I enjoyed doing this project.  It started with green logs, to sliced boards, air dried, then planed & glued up.  Here is pictures of the front and back and the third picture is with a piece of the maple to show what this looked like prior to clear coating.

Sept 2nd, Labor Day Quick project.

Hope all are having a great day. My son seen a picture of toaster tongs and wanted one, So used some scrap maple to make these 2 tongs and wiped with mineral oil.

What happened in August, no projects? :) HA

Just not completed any projects, but I purchased Local White/Red Oak and Red Cedar, given a couple of oak logs and picked up some Maple from a friend who lost some trees. The oak and maple got cut up into boards and dried (7%). Here are a few pictures:

The 3 above have been planed and soon to be glued up and made into a pencil holder.
